Carmel College was founded in 1957 by the Sisters of Mercy on Auckland’s North Shore.. We are a proud Catholic girls school and live the values of Jesus Christ, in the Mercy tradition of our founder, Catherine McAuley. The school is set on the edge of Lake Pupuke with excellent facilities within the stunning environment of Milford. As a learning community we are committed to educating and developing young Catholic women who will always strive for excellence in all their academic, sporting and cultural endeavours.

At Carmel College, practising Mercy is a call to action. The choice to be merciful will express itself in peace and justice. Mercy goes hand in hand with self-dignity, respect for the dignity of others and a willingness to promote just social structures which celebrate the dignity of all. We actively encourage our young women to participate in a wide range of activities and there is an expectation of service, especially for the poor and marginalised; our students see the need and make the difference, walking the talk of Mercy.
