Whānau Mercy Education Limited was formed in 2024 when the Board of Proprietors of St Catherine’s College, Wellington (St Catherine’s College Wellington Limited) merged with the Board of Proprietors of St Mary’s College, Wellington (St Mary’s College Wellington Limited). The joint board continues to have the same proprietorial responsibilities for both schools. In merging the two boards, the Directors will use their expert skills across both Mercy schools and facilitate increased opportunities to preserve the common Mercy ethos of serving the common good.
